How to Sell Children's Items on Ebay
Kids Items You Can Sell
Clothes, toys and videos are good money makers on eBay.
Go to eBay and look up a "lot" of size six girl's cloths. You will find they are expensive! The average price for a lot of 20 good conditioned clothes is about $35.00.
When your kids grow out of their seasonal clothes do not throw them out. Bundle them into different lots by category. For example bundle girls dresses separate from girls play clothes, but only do that if you have at least six of each different type.
Lots of any item sell better than single items unless the item is unique or high priced. For example, a hand embroidered dress that you paid a lot for would sell better by itself instead of bundled with other basic dresses.
The next item to lookup on eBay is toys. Most toys in good condition will sell for a lot of money. One idea that works well is to buy hot items in October at Wal-Mart or Toys-R-Us and sell them on eBay. Busy people are willing to pay extra for the convenience of getting the items delivered to their home. For example, last year a Mega Power Ranger came out in stores around October and sold at Wal-Mart for about $45.00. The same item sold on eBay for up to $65.00 plus shipping. The Yellow Power Ranger is yet another example where the store price was about $6.00, while the same item was selling on eBay for about $20.00.
Have your children ever received duplicate birthday or Christmas presents? You can sell those on eBay also. Look at the eBay listings for items of interest to see if selling on eBay is worth more than returning the item to the store.
Kid's videos and DVDs are also good money-makers. Bundle about three of these together, and you can usually make about $7.00-$12.00 per bundle. Bundle more and the money goes up. Disney movies in hard cases can go for a higher amount. This also works for other types of movies as well.
Save those McDonalds toys. Some Kids Meals toys sell high. Take the new Star Wars toys from Burger King...very collectible. You will find them selling on eBay from $1.00 to $5.00, not including shipping.
Ebay has a whole section devoted to dolls and bears. If your daughter doesn't want her collectible dolls anymore sell them on eBay.
Kids Crafts You Can Sell
Around the holidays, especially, have your children place their hand in paint and make a print on some quality paper. Add a holiday related poem and you have a great craft to sell on eBay.
Have your kids make gift jars with ready made mixes. For example, hot chocolate mixes in a jar with a plastic spoon tied to it with a ribbon. Dip the end of the spoon with white chocolate.
Baby Items You Can Sell
Used baby items are very profitable. Baby items cost a lot of money, especially in their first year. Any "gently" used items are generally good sellers on eBay.
If you have baby coupons that you will never use, sell them on eBay! Left over diapers and formula sell well also. A lot of 35 used cloth diapers usually sells for around $38.00 plus shipping. Four Fuzzi Bunz diapers (cloth diapers with hemp inserts) can sell for as much as $40.00.
There you have it. Plenty of ideas for selling those leftover kids items on eBay...and you can even make a nice profit while you are at it!

How You Can Spot Fakes and Frauds on eBay
It is possible, however, to avoid these scams if one is careful and vigilant. Buyers should be wary of any purchase over eBay, and should take steps to ensure the authenticity of the item and to make sure the item is in reasonable condition.
Be Vigilant
Buyers should take the initiative by doing plenty of background research. They must learn as much as possible about the products before bidding on them. If the seller provides pictures of an item, they should not be taken at face value. Comparison of these pictures with the real item helps in this regard.
Many sellers will use pictures from manufacturers that do not represent the item they are actually selling; buyers should ask the seller for actual pictures of the item. If the seller balks, buyers should refrain from bidding. Collector’s items, autographed memorabilia, and historical artifacts are common items that are misrepresented on eBay.
Authenticate
Familiarize yourself with the various bodies that certify respective items. For example, reputable merchants of autographed sports memorabilia should include a COA (certificate of authenticity) from a trusted third party. Counterfeit or misrepresented items should be reported to eBay. When buying on eBay Motors, one may have an inspection service double-check if the seller is accurately representing his automobile.
Look at the Feedback
One should analyze the feedback rating of a seller. Analyzing feedback is another helpful exercise to prevent scams. Sellers who have an established history of credible sales are usually helpful and professional to deal with. Negative feedback should be a red flag as to whether one should pursue a trade with the person. The same thing applies for those who do not have feedback ratings at all.
Buyers must be careful however, since it is possible that a scammer has hijacked an account that has positive feedback.
Buyers should make sure they have read the entire product description on its eBay listing. Things to look out for are disclaimers, damages, current item condition, years of use, and others. If this information is not specified, it would do well for the buyer to contact the seller regarding such.
The Price Theory
If the price for an item is too good to be true, it probably is. Auctions that carry outrageously low prices should be taken skeptically.

Why You Should Use eBay to Build Your Opt-in List
There are two methods eBay can be used to grow your list. The first is to create and sell small reports or ebooks using the buy it now auction format. The minimum price you can set and still sell multiple items is $.99, so you are practically giving away these reports or ebooks that contain useful information. In these ebooks or reports you can place your links to a squeeze page for your list. The information in these reports should be informative, but should also entice the reader into wanting more and sign up for your list. You can specify that the purchaser can give away the report or ebook, but they can not alter the content. This may result in getting more sign ups in the long term. The point of selling your report is not to make money, but to grow your list. Since the insertion and selling fees on eBay are relatively low, this can be a very cost effective way to get sign ups to your list and if you sell enough reports or ebooks, you may turn a small profit while simultaneously growing your list.
The second way eBay can help grow you list is through the use the classified ad format. This ad format is often overlooked by many on eBay, but it is a simple and very cost effective method you can use to grow your list. The classified ad is set up similarly to a standard auction. The major difference is the ad will run for 30 days instead of the 3, 7 and 10 days that standard auctions run. The title is subject to the eBay search engine just like auctions, so it's very important to optimize your ad title. Since HTML can be used here , you can paste a squeeze page that contains a opt-in form in your ad. The insertion fee for a classified ad is $9.95 for 30 days. If you purchase a Pro Pack for your classified ad, it will cost more, but it works out to a little over a dollar a day. By comparison, buying a Pro Pack for a 7 day auction would be about 4 dollars a day. Using the classified ad format can be a very cost effective method to grow your list.
There are doubtless other ways to use eBay as a list building tool, but these two methods are effective and far less expensive that using par-per-click advertising or purchasing leads and may result in a small profit or enough income to cover your eBay fees.
Best of Success,

What are blogs?
For those who do not know what a blog is, let me explain… A blog is nothing but an online journal and through your blogs, you convey news and views about yourself and of course, your auction sales on a regular basis. Many people these days are taking up blogging to publish their opinions on the Internet and get closer to the outside world.
What should my blog contain?
Now that you have understood what blogging is all about, let me quickly tell you what you should include in your blogs to make it an absorbing reading material. Blogging can be very addictive and as you start blogging, it won't take you long to figure out what appeals to your customers. Enlighten your customers about the kind of products you sell, a bit about your auctions and some stuff that can throw light on the nature of your business. For instance, if you sell computers and that's your specialization, you can provide lot of info regarding computer maintenance, upgrading computers, price comparison, best deals, and so on. What's important here is that your customers must be satisfied with your information and guidance and should be eager to read your next blog.
Although its okay once in a while to write a blog to introduce a new item you have included in your auction, more emphasis should be laid on providing lots and lots of authentic information about your area of expertise. Commenting on other people's blogs and using blog tags (these are keywords to enable people find you easily) can also help you increase your web traffic.

Scouting Local Auctions For Products To Sell On Ebay
If you have never sold products on eBay before, I would suggest that you start with your own household items that you are ready to part with. You probably have things in storage, items in the back of your closet, or things you don’t use anymore. You can generally get a lot more for them on eBay than you can by having a yard sale.
Once you get your feet wet with the selling process, and exhaust your personal resources, you can look to local auctions for more products to sell on eBay. Many local auctions specialize in property, personal estates, antiques, Nascar and other collectibles.
Sometimes you can even find large lots of inventory or product types, and purchase the entire lot for a discount or wholesale price. You can then sell the products individually through online auction, and flip your investment into a nice little profit.
How do you choose which products to buy, and how much should you bid?
The goal is to buy low and turn a nice profit. What I have done in the past, and would highly recommend, is that you team up with your spouse or with a friend. One stays at the computer while the other attends the local auctions, and you stay connected by cell phone. You want to keep your method under your hat by the way, so step outside to make the calls or be as inconspicuous about text messaging as you possibly can.
When you find a product that you are interested in, or that you think may do well on eBay, make a note of the model number or any specific product information. Pass this on to your "invisible partner" so that they can research the product for you.
They can look up the product to see how well it has sold on eBay in the past, and the price range that it usually brings as a high bid. This helps you to bid more accurately at the auction, instead of guessing at how well it will do online and bidding in the dark.
Your partner will need to be quick on the keyboard and familiar with eBay. You need to know how many auctions are currently running for that item, and whether the market is already flooded with sellers. They can also search the Completed Auctions to see what the high bids were when the most recent auctions ended. After a few trial runs, you can get your teamwork down to an art.
Without this Invisible Partner you may bid too high for an item that brings a lower price on eBay, or that doesn’t sell well online. Unless you know your product, and know your market (super well), it pays to have someone checking on things behind the scenes.
You can usually find out about Local Auctions by checking the newspapers. There is also a great site called http://AuctionZip.com where you can find live auctions in your area as well. All you have to do is put in your zip code, tell it how far you are willing to travel (within 30 miles, for example) and it will give you a calendar of auctions in your area.
A quick search at AuctionZip tells me that there are 9 local Auctions going on in my area this weekend (and I live in a very small town). Some of them are for properties, others are entire personal estates (ie estate auctions), and some of them specialize in antiques & collectibles.
When you tap into these resources and get a system down for buying smart, you can flip products from one auction to another for an easy profit!

How to Turn Your Love of Bargains into a Thriving Business With eBay
Do you love getting up at the crack of dawn and searching for treasure at yard sales and flea markets? Maybe you love to purchase things for yourself, family or friends. But did you know that you can take your love of shopping for bargain products and make some real money with it? It's true -- thanks to Ebay, the current world's biggest online marketplace.
Many of the items you find at those thrift shops, yard sales and flea markets can be placed on E bay and sold for a lot more than you paid for them. For example, I once purchased a box of paperback books by the bestselling author Sandra Brown. The books looked just like new, and offered t only ten cents each (what a bargain!). The twenty books I purchased cost me $2. And guess hHow much did I sell them for? A whopping $36! That's an amazing profit margin of 18 times. Here's another example for you: Another time I found a Belleek porcelain butter dish at a thrift shop for $1.49 and sold it on Ebay for this item $21.95!
Imagine if you found bargain items like this each and every week. It's defintely possible -- especially if you live in an area that's full of swap meets, thrift shops, flea markets and yard sales. Estate sales are another great way you can find valuable items at bargain prices. Some people just want to declutter their homes. They're not interested in going through all the hassle of listing each piece on Ebay one by one. They just want someone to take their so-called junk off their hands as quickly as possible. That's where you come in with your e bay business!
So how do you recognize what's good to buy and what isn't for those bargin items? Any item that is still in its original packaging is a good bet. Bestselling books in good condition are also a good bet, and so are the vintage or antique books, especially those that are first editions. Ceramics, crystal, pottery and porcelain are also good bargain bets for your e bay business. Depression era glass, also known as carnival glass, can be a profitable pick if you know how to spot one. Clothing is sometimes good depending on the materials, especially when it's in like-new condition from a brand name designer. Vintage toys are also great items for the e bay business, especially when they're in packaging or in like-new condition.
When listing your item in your e bay business, always aim for your auction to start and end on a Sunday evening. This will ensure your item is seen by as many people as possible during the period. Take clear and good pictures of your item and always choose the Gallery option. Write an auction listing title that grabs a reader's attention, is easily found via the keyword search and gives a clear description of the item. Also include the name of the item, color, size, condition and any other applicable details. When writing the actual listing, you'll need all of this information as well as any other details. Use enticing words for your item description. Make sure to include your payment and shipping details too. Price your e bay item low as you can while still making a profit. A low starting price will lure more bidders, and give you the best chance of fetching top prices along the process.
This online e bay business can work if you're vigilant, determined and dedicated to good customer service. If you're able to locate and list a good number of treasures every week, you're likely to get repeated customers that visit your listings and/or Ebay store on a regular basis to see what's new on the offer. And by packaging your items well and shipping them in a timely manner, you'll get good feedback, one of the most important aspects of starting a successful e Bay business.

Unlocking the eBay Treasure Chest
The purpose of this article is twofold.
Firstly, to show you that there is a serious money making opportunity in the eBay affiliate program and, secondly, to illustrate that my latest tool - Build A Niche Store - really enables you to exploit this opportunity in a way that has not previously been possible.Almost every internet marketer I know has at some point signed up to the eBay affiliate program and almost every single one of them have failed to make any significant money with it.
Build A Niche Store is set to change this…Enjoy the read and if you have any questions you can contact me directly.
Stephan
InstantNicheStore.com
Why eBay
eBay is a fascinating marketplace for all sorts of reasons but the most important of these is that eBay invites us, through their affiliate program, to take a share of their revenue. This is what eBay says about their affiliate program (http://affiliates.ebay.com/):
"Drive your traffic to eBay and get paid for it!
• Earn up to 65% commission on eBay Revenue
• Earn up to $22 commission for new active user referrals
• Take advantage of eBay’s brand and wide variety of products"
There are four important points to this:
1. eBay pays you up to 65% of the revenue they make from every product sale that you refer.
2. eBay pays you up to $22 for every new active eBay member that you refer.
3. The success of the eBay brand means that their conversion of browser to buyer is exceptional.
4. eBay provides you with a choice of products to promote which covers virtually every online product market.
Made simple, eBay is saying something like this to you:
"Look guys and girls, the eBay marketplace contains millions and millions of different products all of which are wanted by millions and millions of different people. If you can connect these people to the products that they want on eBay our successful branding will convert them for you and you will receive in return for your service up to 65% of the commission that we make on each sale and a further $22 if the particular buyer became an active eBay member to make that purchase".
I'm sure you see the opportunity:
You have a constantly updated product inventory of over 25 million to choose from which caters to just about every imaginable instinct for purchase that currently exists online. What this means is that regardless of the niche market you already target or would like to target there are products listed for sale on eBay that they would very likely be interested in.- While you have access to this product inventory and can make money promoting it you never have to stock a product yourself, ship an item or deal with a customer.- eBay has invested a lot of time and money in carefully developing and branding a marketplace which is now trusted by millions of people worldwide.- eBay will pay you more than half their revenue plus a high member sign up bonus if you help them sell the products listed in the eBay marketplace by connecting targeted people to them.
Bearing this in mind, why is the eBay affiliate program not talked about like AdSense or ClickBankwhen it comes to making money online when in reality it offers much more substance than AdSense and much more width than ClickBank?
The primary reason for this is a previous limitation of tools which has meant that the opportunity that lies in eBay’s wide variety of products has not been properly explored. Before today, if you wanted to market eBay’s products you had to have extensive PHP knowledge so that you could manipulate eBay’s API or you were limited to manually integrating things like affiliate banners and eBay editor kits into your website or blog.
Limited to these tools there was no way for you to truly exploit the opportunity presented by a marketplace that contains 25 million products.
Consequently, eBay’s huge product inventory and their high paying, high converting affiliate program has been largely demoted to a means of filling up space on a website. An eBay bannerhere and an editor kit there – there’s no system, no purpose, no aim and consequently no money.
Build A Niche Store now changes this and enables you to start taking a piece of eBay’s revenue by connecting people to the products that they want in the eBay marketplace…
Meet Build A Niche Store:
For the first time Build A Niche Store gives you (regardless of your technical ability) complete control over eBay’s massive and constantly updating product inventory.Try to imagine yourself as having a huge warehouse behind you which contains 25 million productsand which you control through one store setup file. It is this reality that Build A Niche Store grants you.
You choose which of eBay’s products you want to market, for example "Golf".
You then go to your store setup file, choose the Golf category, press "Build" and Build A Niche Store will automatically give you a complete eBay affiliate store for that niche.
This store will contain every golf related item listed on eBay (in this case over 80,000) which you can then connect people to and earn affiliate commissions from.
You are, however, not limited to one niche or one store ;)
You have a choice of 28,926 different niche stores that you can build, each of which will contain all of the products listed on eBay that are relevant to you chosen target market, be that Diamonds, Guitars, Baby Strollers, Sunglasses or Laptops.
Each affiliate store you build will automatically:
1. Include all of the products listed on eBay that are relevant to your chosen target market.
2. Include all of the associated navigation structure which eBay has for your category choice.
3. Update on a live feed from eBay and as such will never need manually updating.
4. Include your eBay affiliate id in every product link.
5. Provide you with hundreds or thousands of keyword packed, content rich pages that the search engines love.
All you have to do is decide which niche market you want to target and press build…
Come and Give Build A Niche Store a GO!
I know I’m biased, but I would challenge anyone to use the Build A Niche Store demo and not start to feel a little giddy at the potential that lies in being able to easily and effectively bring eBay products direct to the people that want them.Whether you want to more effectively monetize websites or blogs that you have already developedor target new niche markets with content-rich eBay affiliate stores, everything is in place for you to start now.
